FICS Summer Schools 2011, August 22-24 and August 24-26

In 2011 FICS will have two joint summer schools for all FICS students:

The location for both events is Hotelli Kuninkaantie, Espoo.

Please REGISTER HERE until August 3 (students and those staying overnight) or August 15 (supervisors and other short-time visitors)

Monday 22 August: FICS/NGSMP Summer School, Physics and mathematics day
Location: Auditorium 1st floor, except for lunch.

Location: 2nd floor lounge, except for breakfast and sauna.

Wednesday 24 August (FICS, NGSMP, Hecse, FIGS, EIT ICT Labs): Computational Sciences day. JOINTLY FOR FICS/NGSMP Summer School and COMP-IT Summer School
Location: In the morning, FICS/NGSMP summer school in 2nd floor lounge. After lunch, FICS/NGSMP and COMP-IT jointly at the Auditorium, 1st floor. In late afternoon and in the evening, FICS/NGSMP and COMP-IT jointly at 2nd floor lounge.

Participation

All FICS, Hecse, FIGS and NGSMP students and supervisors are encouraged to participate, free of charge! Hotel accomodation is provided for all students and a restricted number of supervisors; if we run out of hotel rooms then those living outside Helsinki region are given preference. Travel expenses for students living outside Helsinki region are covered by the respective doctoral programmes: FICS, FIGS and Hecse students should make a travel claim to their own department and the department can then charge FICS upon agreement with Ella Bingham. NGSMP students can apply for travel support as separately instructed by Leena Porraskorpi.

EIT ICT Labs visitors are warmly welcomed free of charge, too. Travel stipends can be applied for, please contact Ella Bingham, firstname.lastname@hiit.fi

Posters: The poster stands are of size 95 cm x 160 cm.
